[STG] Frontboard

Privacy policy

What Frontboard knows about you and your business, what it does with it, and how to have it deleted. Last updated 13 October 2026.

Who we are

Frontboard is provided by Nicola Bello trading as Frontboard, in the United Kingdom. For anything about your data, write to hello@frontboard.co.uk.

For your account (your sign-in, your number, your plan) we decide how the data is used, so we are its controller. For your Business Profile and its reviews we act on your instructions, as your processor: that data is yours, and the people in it are your customers.

What we hold

  • Your Google sign-in: the identifier and email address of the Google account you connect, and the permission you give us to manage your Business Profile, stored encrypted. We never see your Google password.
  • Your WhatsApp number, and a record of each message between us: when, which kind, and whether it arrived.
  • Your business: its name, address and type from Google, and the settings you choose here.
  • Your photos and words: the photos you send, what you write about them, and the posts we draft from them.
  • Your reviews: each review’s rating, text and the reviewer’s name as Google shows it, and the reply drafted for it.
  • Your plan: which one you are on and how much of it you have used. If you subscribe, Stripe holds your payment details and tells us only whether you have paid.

This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Signing in with Google sets short-lived cookies that keep the sign-in safe, and nothing else.

What we use it for

  • To provide the service you asked for: drafting, publishing what you approve, and telling you about new reviews.
  • To take payment and keep the records the law asks a business to keep.
  • To keep Frontboard secure and working, and to find out why something failed.

Under UK data protection law we rely on our contract with you for the first, on a legal obligation for the second, and on our legitimate interest in running a safe service for the third. We don’t sell your data, use it for advertising, or let anyone train an AI model on it.

Who we share it with

Only the companies Frontboard runs on, each for one job:

  • Meta: WhatsApp, which carries every message between you and Frontboard.
  • Google: your Business Profile, where your posts and replies are published, and its notifications.
  • An AI model provider: drafts the text of posts and replies, on terms that forbid training on what we send. We name it here before any of your text is sent to it.
  • Stripe: payments. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
  • Neon: our database, hosted in London.
  • Cloudflare: your photos, stored in the EU, this website, and our email routing.
  • Fly.io: the servers that run Frontboard, in London.
  • Sentry: error reports, with names, numbers, addresses and message text removed before they are sent.
  • Better Stack: checks that Frontboard is up. It receives nothing about you.
  • Mailgun: email, sent from the EU, when something important can’t reach you on WhatsApp.

Some of these companies process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the safeguards UK law provides for it.

How long we keep it

  • Photos: 90 days from the day you send them. A photo used by a recurring post is kept while that post runs, and deleted once it has not run for 90 days.
  • Message records: 12 months.
  • Everything else: for as long as you have an account.

Deleting your account

On WhatsApp, send DELETE. We reply with a link to a page that deletes your account and everything above, and withdraws our access to your Google profile. It can’t be undone.

What is left afterwards:

  • A note that an account was deleted and when, with nothing that says whose it was.
  • Technical records of the last few days’ activity, which can include a review’s text or your email address. They are deleted within 30 days.
  • Backups of our database, which are kept for a limited time and then overwritten.
  • The payment records Stripe is required to keep.
  • The posts and replies already published on your Google profile, which are yours and stay there.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to stop or limit how we use it, or to hand it to you in a form you can take elsewhere. Write to hello@frontboard.co.uk and we answer within a month.

If you wrote a review of a business that uses Frontboard, we hold it on that business’s behalf. Ask the business, or write to us and we pass your request on.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes we update this page and its date. If a change affects how we use your data, we tell you before it applies. Our terms of service say what you can expect from Frontboard and what we ask of you.
